It’s hot dogs and baseball time! Cathy Isom gives us the scoop on just how many millions of hot dogs Major League Baseball Fans are expected to gobble up at the games this year. That’s coming up on This Land of Ours.

Hot dogs and baseball go hand in hand. So it’s no wonder Major League Fans are expected to gobble up nearly 19 million dogs during the 20-17 season. That’s according to the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council which also predicts more than 4 million sausages will be consumed at games this year. Linked together that many hot dog and sausages could stretch from San Francisco’s AT&T Park to the new SunTrust Park in Atlanta, Georgia. L-A Dodger fans are once again projected to eat the most hot dogs around –  2.5 million. Followed by Texas Rangers fans estimated to eat more than 1.4 million dogs. Meanwhile in San Francisco Giants fans have defended their title as MLB sausage champions, with 475,000 expected sales. The Milwaukee Brewers remains the only baseball team to sell more sausages than hot dogs. And the Hot Dog Council’s survey also found fans love Boston Red Sox Hot Dogs and Sausages the best!
