California milk producers had a total of 1.76 million milk cows for March that produced 3.50 billion pounds of milk. Milk production is up 12 percent from February, 2017 and down 3 percent from March 2016. Monthly milk per cow averaged 1,995 pounds, up 215 pounds from February 2017.
