Bee researchers believe they have found a correlation that can predict winter loss numbers, and this year’s findings look promising.
Maryland University Assistant Professor Dennis vanEngelsdorp says they do a broad survey of bee colonies across the country to monitor mite levels and have found a connection between fall mite levels and winter bee losses.
