The agriculture industry might see some regulations on volatile organic compound usage this year.
VOC Restrictions on the Horizon
VOC usage limits haven’t been much of a concern to growers over the last five years, but that may be changing. Fresno County Agriculture Commissioner’s Office Pesticide Supervisor Bill Griffin says VOC usage was just under the limits in 2013, and 2014 results will likely bring some changes.
Griffin added that the changeover should be fairly smooth and may not increase the cost of treatments for growers.
