The California State Board of Food and Agriculture (CSBFA) met in Central California to discuss the drought. Sabrina Hill was at the meeting and has this report.

Drought Meeting
The CSBFA met and heard from farmers and other concerned citizens in Fresno yesterday. The centralized location brought in citizens from several areas, who were able to ask the board what it is doing to alleviate some of the problems the state is facing. Heavy on the minds of at least two board members was the Porterville community living without water.

Secretary of Business, Consumer Services, and Housing Agency Anna Caballero joined Director of the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services Mark Ghilarducci in heading to the community directly after their part in the meeting. I spoke with Caballero before she left.
