Continuing our series updating tamarixia research, AgNet West’s Taylor Hillman tells us why the insect can’t be a stand alone control for Asian citrus psyllids.

Adding Tamarixia to IPM System

CDFA Environmental Program Manager David Morgan says using tamarixia as biological control for Asian citrus psyllids is about 30% effective. Morgan stresses that with a disease like HLB, this insect should be used in addition to other management practices.
