The California Strawberry Commission and Cal Poly are creating the new Strawberry Sustainability Research and Education Center. The center will focus on applied research that incorporates both teaching and learning experiences for Cal Poly students, faculty, and California strawberry farmers. It’s all with the goal of increasing sustainability of California Strawberry farming. California grows 85 percent of the nation’s strawberries.
