Do you know a farmer or rancher in California who is committed to land conservation? You can nominate him or her for the Leopold Conservation Award. Each year the award is given to a private landowner who exemplifies conservation and is an inspiration to other landowners.
Nominations Now Being Accepted
The award can go an individual or family as was the case with the 2013 award, which went to the Robert Giacomini Dairy. We feature the Giacomini family in a video you may view by clicking HERE.
The Leopold Conservation Award Review Panel will be evaluating properties based on responsible and sustainable land management, economics, innovation, overall land health, and community outreach and leadership.
The deadline for nominations is July 11, 2014.
