Fresno County Agriculture Commissioner Les Wright says many vegetable growers in his area are forced to cut back their plantings for winter crops due to a lack of available irrigation water.
He says that’s going to translate into a loss of jobs for his local area, and another problem for the entire state.
He says it’s important for the ag community to help educate the public about their industry and the importance of providing growers with water.
