Agriculture businesses make sure their workers stay safe while working in high heat by doing things like providing water and shade. But attorney Melanie Aldridge says they need to protect their business as well, by documenting the safety steps they take.
She recommends keeping a checklist that is dated and followed each day, that includes things like “reminded workers hourly to break for water” and “put up shade”.
