Bracing for Another Dry Year

Even with the recent storms bringing some precipitation to the state, the agriculture industry is bracing for another year with water restrictions. The wine industry has seen their markets go stale due to some trendy competition and less innovation in product. Allied Grape Growers Vice President of Operations Jeff Bitter believes growers need to start producing more quality wines on the lower end to reinvigorate markets, however that will be difficult for growers dealing with water restrictions and there isn’t much good news when it comes to irrigation.
