The future of FFA and other agriculture education programs is uncertain here in California due to Governor Jerry Brown’s proposal to drop the Agriculture Incentive Grant. Assemblymember Adam Gray (D-Merced) serves the 21st Assembly District, which is in the northern San Joaquin Valley. Not only does he represent a large dairy area, but he grew up around the dairy industry and his family’s business, Merced Dairy Supply. He explains why he supports agriculture education.
