It’s the number one ag producing county in the nation, and now Fresno officially has a new agriculture commissioner. Les Wright has served as the Interim Ag Commissioner since previous commissioner, Carol Hafner, retired back in February. He has been with the Fresno County Ag Commissioner’s office for three years, and before that was the Deputy Agricultural Commissioner for Kings County.

Fresno County has long been the nation’s top ag producing county, and last year had an overall agricultural production value at more than $6.5 billion.
