Commission Announces New Executive Director

The California Wheat Commission is pleased to announce that they have the new Executive Director of the Commission effective June 20, 2016.

The woman hired for the job is Claudia Carter. Carter was originally hired as The California Wheat Commission’s Lab Director on June 15, 2014. Through the course of the last two years, Carter has excelled in her position as a lab director. Roy Motter, Chairman of the California Wheat Commission states, “Claudia has been doing a great job and we are pleased that she has accepted the position as the new Executive Director. We are looking forward to her providing strong leadership for the wheat industry, with emphasis on market development, research and development of new and improved wheat varieties.”

“I am very happy to represent California Wheat as the new Executive Director of the California  Wheat Commission. I am positive that California wheat is one of the best in quality,” says Carter. “The great quality wheat we grow in California is thanks to all the hard work put toward wheat research and also thanks to the outstanding work done by our wheat growers. As the new Executive Director, I will continue with the legacy solidifying strong relationships with wheat growers, breeders, handlers, and all the wheat industry representatives. We have a bright future for California Wheat ahead of us.”
