The man called “the father of the green revolution”, Dr. Norman Borlaug was honored on what would have been his 100th birthday. Dr. Borlaug is credited with saving billions of lives through increasing Mexican wheat yields by using bio-technology, or GMO’s. Borlaug’s grand-daughter Julie Borlaug says her grandfather would want to look ahead to see how he could improve more on today’s agriculture instead of reminiscing about the past.
