‘Celebrate Agriculture with the Arts’ Show in Madera Honors Agriculture

The Circle Gallery in Madera is holding an art exhibit honoring agriculture from October 2 to November 16. The juried show is a competition for area artists with $5000 in prizes to be awarded.

About 100 pieces were accepted from almost 200 entries. Multi-media entries (painting, drawing, sculpture and photography) are displayed in 7 agriculturally-themed categories (Dairy, Livestock & Poultry, Farm Machinery & Structures, Fruits and Nuts, Human Factor in Agriculture, Irrigation, Row & Field Crops, Pomegranate Festival, and Vegetables & Vines).

The exhibition begins with a wine and appetizer reception Wednesday, October 2, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, at which the winners will be announced and the prizes awarded. The public is invited.

The exhibit ends November 16. Circle Gallery is operated by the Madera County Arts Council and is located at 1653 N. Schnoor Ave, Suite 113, in Madera, CA 93637. Hours are Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. and Saturday 10:00 am to 2 pm.
