More than a hundred California farmers took advantage of the USDA’s new microloan program this year, to help them with their farming operations. Sabrina Hill talks with USDA Farm Service Agency California State Executive Director Val Dolcini.

Overall, microloans and other loans included, FSA provided $120 million in farm loan assistance in fiscal year 2013 to farmers and ranchers throughout California. That includes 700 annual operating loans and just over 100 loans for farm ownership.
