A new report out by the Partnership for New American Economy and the Agriculture Coalition for Immigration Reform shows that in just the last few years the share of fresh fruits and vegetables consumed by American families that was imported from other countries has increased by 79.3 percent. San Luis Obispo area farmer and President of San Luis Obispo County Farm Bureau Carlos Castaneda says the need for ag labor is a major factor in why U.S. farmers are not able to produce enough food for the nation.
