Everett Griner talks about a new study on red meat consumption in today’s Agri View.
Red Meat Consumption
If you read too much about the food you eat or how it may affect your health you might want to stop eating. Or stop reading. I am looking at a new report from a major agriculture college in our mid-west that claims much of what we have been told for decades. It is about red meat consumption and cardiovascular disease. After studying hundreds of research articles, consuming three ounces of red meat three times a week did not worsen blood pressure or cholesterol. Why does Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay have lower rates of heart disease when they eat an average of 12 ounces of red meat per day? You figure. Oh yes, coffee is not harmful to your health either. Even with artificial sweetener.
That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner.
