Reducing Chemical Use, Keeping Efficacy

At the California Association of Pest Control Advisor’s Sustainable and Organic Production seminar in Oxnard, growers saw lots of positive results from trials looking at using both chemicals and alternatives. Cooperative Extension Farm Advisor Surendra Dara says conventional growers can effectively reduce chemical use without losing efficacy. Dara says cost is always a concern but if the same results are available with alternatives, this is a practice growers should be looking at.
