The UC Cooperative Extension is encouraging growers to make use of new year-round integrated Pest Management programs.
UC Cooperative officials say a year round IPM program is like a check list of what you should be doing to protect your crops throughout the season. There are 25 year round IPM programs… from Alfalfa, Almonds, Citrus, Cotton, Lettuce, Peaches, Tomato just to name a few.
The idea is simple you can print from the U-C Cooperative’s website a checklist for each crop from there it’s pretty straight forward, how to monitor and what’s the best pesticide to use for the situation.
