The earthquake that rattled the Napa and Sonoma County areas 2 weeks ago may have contributed to an interesting change in the environment. United States Department of Agriculture Meteorologist Brad Rippey says California got a positive side effect from the quake.
Eighty-nine people were injured, three critically, though no deaths were reported. Power was out and fires were reported in north Napa along with many waterline breaks. Masonry buildings in downtown, including the historic courthouse and Goodman Library, were severely damaged.
