Students in Tulare County Farm Bureau’s high school leadership program had the chance to see first hand what it’s like when California Farm Bureau visits the Capitol to talk agriculture issues with state legislators. During the CFBF 2019 Leaders Conference, students sat in with Farm Bureau members, staffers and state representatives during keynote addresses and conference sessions. They also got to chat with legislators. Tulare County Farm Bureau Executive Director Tricia Stever Blattler said getting students acclimated to speaking with state legislators and Farm Bureau staff about agriculture issues is a great opportunity for students to understand what Farm Bureau and Sacramento are all about and how they connect.
