Chanting breaks in the Senate gallery out as the Senate votes to approve the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act. As you just heard, the bill passed with a vote of 68 to 32. California senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein both voted in favor of the bill.
Just after the Senate’s historic vote to pass the Immigration Reform Bill, American Farm Bureau Federation President Bob Stallman issued a statement saying it is the first step in reforming our broken immigration system and ensuring agriculture has access to a stable and legal workforce.
