Florida Researchers Find Possible Cure for Citrus Disease
Researchers with the University of Florida may have found a treatment for citrus greening, officially called Huanglongbing disease. Researchers say a chemical used to treat gout disease in humans has shown to halt the bacteria that causes Huanglongbing in 80 percent of infected trees’ shoots. However, it could be a while before the findings become an actual treatment. So far, it has only been tested in a lab.
