Organic Pastures, located in Fresno County, is the nation’s largest raw milk dairy. Owner Mark McAfee filed a lawsuit against the US Food and Drug Administration for allegedly not responding to a request filed by the dairy back in 2008. That request was for the FDA to change its current law which bans the sales of raw milk across state lines. The FDA is required to respond to such requests within 180 days, however the dairy never got a response. The lawsuit asks for action on the initial request and reimbursement of legal fees.
