Pierce’s disease is a problem in grapevines that probably will never be eradicated due to the fact it can live in many species. Cooperative Extension Viticulture Advisor Allison Ferry-Abee says there are two sets of symptoms for Pierce’s disease. Spring symptoms are hard to define and can be caused by other issues.
