Research Scientist Joel Siegel presented his findings regarding the navel orangeworm, stating that there is always a big spike in activity between the very end of April and a few days into May. UCCE Merced Farm Advisor David Doll said controlling naval orangeworm this year will be a challenge. Growers were also updated on pesticide regulations and shown in depth pictures of root diseases from USDA Scientist Greg Browne.
