The passage of a Farm Bill happens every five years yet the 2014 Farm Bill expired on September 30 with no confirmation of a new Farm Bill in sight. While both the House and Senate have passed their own bills, coming together before the deadline was a challenge.
A group of 16 agriculture organizations is urging the House and the Senate agriculture leaders to get a Farm Bill passed before the years comes to an end. Without a bill, it adds pressure to farmers nationwide to prepare for the following year.
