Help for Landowners Affected By Mega-Fires

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) of California can help landowners both before and after fires. The state has experienced mega-fires, which are fires of extreme size that are hard to control, the last few years. NRCS State Forester Chris Zimny said there are programs available that can help protect property before fires and recover from damage after a fire. Zimny urges landowners to contact their local NRCS office and work with staff to determine the best fit for each individual case.
