Cathy Isom has a little advice for you about some medicinal plants you can grow right at home. That’s coming up on This Land of Ours.
Medicinal Plants to Grow at Home
If you could grow your own medicinal herbs in your own home, rather than buying them, why wouldn’t you?
While most herbs are recognized as safe, you should always consult with your doctor first, especially if you’re taking medication or having any health conditions.
It’s also a good idea to know your plant hardiness zone, so you know which plants will work best in your area. Here are some suggestions and recommendations for medicinal plants you can grow at home. Some of these include healing properties that include comforting a stomach ache, calming anxiety. or acting as a mild sedative.
- Echinacea
- Passionflower
- Cramp Bark
- St. John’s Wort
- Gingko
- Elderberry
- German Chamomile … used in tea.
All great medicinal plants, that are fairly easy to harvest, can be grown right in your very own garden at home.
