Mareketing Funding Key to Sustainability
Much like other industries, California almonds have a federal marketing order in place to help them grow. Associate Director of Agricultural affairs Bob Curtis says that without this product research funding, the advances in sustainability wouldn’t be possible. Curtis said that according to their assessments, the industry has become 33% more efficient with water use as compared to 20 years ago, creating a trickle down affect.
