Industry leaders say it isn’t as profitable nowadays for growers to produce grapes for lower-end wine production. A lot of grapes produced in the San Joaquin Valley are grown for that market, and it still makes up a big portion of the overall numbers. Allied Grape Growers President and CEO Nat DiBuduo says supply and demand has dropped those grape prices significantly.
