JBS USA Food Company will pay $4 million to settle with the U.S. Department of Labor for using child labor in meatpacking plants, with funds earmarked to prevent child labor and support victims, particularly in Alabama, Colorado, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska. JBS must also hold third-party contractors accountable for child labor in 2022.
