Almonds growers in the Central Valley were reminded of the importance of sanitation when dealing with navel orangeworm.
The San Joaquin Sustainable Farming Project held it’s spring almond field day in Fresno County. Cooperative Extension Pomology Nut Crop Farm Advisor David Doll reminded growers of the importance sanitation in an effective pest management program for navel orangeworm. Doll said getting rid of those hulls is just one practice growers should be doing in there systems already.
