The Humboldt Farm Bureau is celebrating its 100th anniversary this month. It is the oldest county Farm Bureau in California, started in 1913. They’re having a big celebration on Saturday, July 27. Festivities include old-fashioned fun like a pie contest and ice cream social. There will also be catapult competition, games, agriculture displays, and speeder train rides.
American Farm Bureau Federation President Bob Stallman and California Farm Bureau Federation President Paul Wenger are both planning on attending the celebration. Farmers and ranchers from around the state are invited to join the folks in Humbolt County in their celebration, and take the chance to meet Stallman and Wenger.
