Congressman Jim Costa says the passage of the drought legislation through the senate was a huge step in getting some serious action moving regarding immediate and future drought solutions. Costa said the senate bill addresses pumping regulations, while the house bill has some long term solutions. Solutions he would like to get into a new proposal, but they realize that siting funding for those projects is key.
