Organic citrus producers have fewer materials available than conventional producers, making pest control even more challenging. Assistant Cooperative Extension Specialist at UC Riverside, Monique Rivera has been working with organic citrus growers in the San Joaquin Valley to determine effective management strategies for Asian citrus psyllid (ACP). According to Rivera, some material combinations are proving valuable to growers in keeping ACP populations under control.
