Climate Change Contributing to Drought

At the 2014 Almond Conference earlier this month researchers displayed graphics showing the increasing trend of warmer than average temperatures across the board. Department of Water Resources State Climatologist Mike Anderson says these warmer temperatures are exacerbating this year’s drought. Anderson said random warm years in the past are starting to not look so out-of-place. That trend is looking like it will continue, and Anderson says new records will be set.
