During a recent visit between California Farm Bureau (CFBF) President Jamie Johansson and newly elected Governor Gavin Newsom, the two worked toward developing a relationship with the new administration all while talking about top ag issues. Newsom made a promise not to leave rural California out of the picture when tackling issues. However, Johansson said it’s more than that, reiterating the strong tie between rural California and California agriculture. Ultimately, Johansson welcomed the opportunity to connect and is hopeful for more in the future.
