California Cattlemen’s Association President Tim Koopman weighed in on the blocking of the Waters of the U.S. rule and how it seemed like an overreach by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Now that the House has passed a bill to block further progress of the rule, Koopman says they are interested to see what happens next. Another pending water issue Californians are waiting news on is groundwater legislation. Koopman believes the two bills sitting on the Governor’s desk were created with little thought. The California Cattlemen’s Association is telling its members to do their part and hopefully that message will persuade Governor Brown.
