Mites are causing problems for almond growers in some parts of the state, due largely to the lack of rain we’ve had this year. PCA and Crop Advisor Chad Mattock works in Kern and Ventura Counties. He says growers should watch for plant stress as a sign of mites, and spray early is a problem is suspected.
