Apple harvest has kicked off in California and experts say they are already focused on next year. AgNet West’s Taylor Hillman tells you why.
The California Apple Commission says harvest looks good so far and they are expecting a good crop this year. Many crops all over the state are expecting to see effects of the drought on their yield. However the apple industry is focused on what may lie ahead. If a significant change in California’s water situation doesn’t come, California Apple Commission Executive Director Alex Ott says they will see growers cutting back next year.
