Aflatoxins are an increasing topic in the almond industry over the last couple of years and will be the subject of an educational session at this year’s Almond Conference. Almond Board of California’s Director of Quality Assurance & Industry Services Tim Birmingham said low amounts of aflatoxins are still an issue for specific markets, and technologies can help processors clean-up those small quantities.
