In Specialty Crop news, it’s harvest season for many commodities in California and some are worried about the affect the drought has had on this crop. Several commodity experts believe their crops will be good in overall quantity but the individual size may differ.
California Almond Board CEO Richard Waycott says he is expecting a good crop this year as the near perfect spring temperatures contributed to early season growth. Like every other industry in California, Waycott says almond growers will continue to operate as sustainably as possible.
