Agri View: Unwelcome Laws

Unwelcome Laws

Well farmers have more than the U. S. Senate and the House of Representatives to worry about now. People that don’t like the way farmer’s farm are now going to state governments to get laws passed that hamper farmers. You see, in Massachusetts farmers can no longer raise laying hens in cages. New born pigs and calves can no longer be kept in cages. Oklahoma voters turned down a farm rights bill that would guarantee farmers certain rights to plant and produce crops. Other states are messing with legislation that will impact the way farmers farm their land and raise their crops. It will not be good. Now all those pushing these bills and all of these new laws obviously don’t know that they already have someone to make sure that farming is done like it ought to be done. Farm Bureau. That is all they need.

That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner.
