Everett Griner talks about the importance of world trade in today’s Agri View.
Importance of World Trade
You know not many people realize, or do they have interest in, world trade. It is something that doesn’t come up for discussion very often. We have so many special occasions. Why would the average person even acknowledge world trade?
The question is-where would U.S. agriculture be without organized world trade? Most people don’t stop and think that farmers, farmers, ranchers, and foresters do a lot more than just feed us. They help clothe us. Provide our homes, our fuel, and our vehicles. It is not here at home. It is over a vast part of the world.
So, if you stop and think about what you are wearing, where you are sleeping, or live, world trade can have a lot more meaning.
If we only lived off of U.S. production, there wouldn’t be enough of anything for everybody.
That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner…
