Everett Griner talks about living in a cleaner world, thanks to the E.P.A. in today’s Agri View.
Cleaner Living
Let’s be honest. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) gets a lot of criticism. Some of it may be justified, but not all of it. The way farmers and homeowners once used poisons and pesticides would make today’s world totally unsafe to live in. I am including homeowners because they once fought the same battle as farmers in controlling things like mosquitoes, cockroaches, other household insects. But, because of EPA’s unrelenting fight for a cleaner environment, we no longer have DDT. We do have cleaner air. Cleaner water. And, much better quality soil than we would have had. Farmers, pest control companies, and the general public now operate in a cleaner, and safer, atmosphere than they did in the 1960’s and beyond. Thanks mostly to the Environmental Protection Agency. Good job.
That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner…
