Infrastructure and volunteers are needed to make groundwater recharge successful in California. Many in the agriculture community were disappointed that not all of the surface water storage projects were fully funded from Proposition 1. However, smaller investments are also needed to help replenish the water underground. Western Growers Association Executive Vice President Dave Puglia said it would also take voluntary growers, which he believes won’t be a problem. “We need to find another 200 Don Camerons from Terranova Ranch,”¬†Puglia said.
