The first major deadline for the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act is January 31. Agencies for critically over-drafted basins will submit their sustainability plans to the state for consideration. Almond Board of California‘s Principle Analyst Jesse Roseman said this is uncharted territory for everyone involved, and ABC believes groundwater recharge is a practice that will be instrumental for water sustainability.
